Hello and Happy New Year to you all!

For all those who have made a New Year’s resolution to keep on top of their work/study, here are a few points on how we can help you achieve your goals.

· Do you need help finding quality information to help with patient care? Can’t find the time to look through pages and pages of useless information to get what you need?

We can do a literature search for you and provide the results along with links to full text articles.

· Are you studying and need to do your own literature search but don’t quite know where to start? Or you just need a recap of how and where to find the right information?

Ask us about our information training sessions tailored to suit your needs, one to one and group sessions available.

Did you know that we are now partnered with Stoke Health Library? You can borrow resources from both sites with just one library card. You can request a book and collect it at a site that suits you and return your book(s) at either site.

We have free online resources ready for you to use, such as:

· Medical MasterClass – This resource helps prepare you for the MRCP (UK) examinations.

· Clinical Key – A clinical search engine

· The Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures – Ebook

· Medicines Complete – A resource to support clinical and drug research decisions.

· BMJ Case Reports – Contact the library for a fellowship code to submit reports.

· Dynamed – Evidence based clinical reference tool.

· Trip –High quality clinical research evidence.

There is plenty of study space and I.T facilities with over 20 NHS computers and 6 Access all laptops (no logins needed and no filtered sites). We also offer a laminating and binding service for when it’s time to hand in those all important projects/assignments (small charge applies).

We are staffed Monday and Wednesday 8:30-7:00

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 – 5.30

24h access available, ask a member of staff for details.

If you cannot gain access to the Library via the PGMC, then please use the pathway as if heading towards the residencies (left of the chapel) you will need your County I.D badge to gain access.
