How do I join?

Fill out a library membership form and bring your identification along with you to the Library, it is that simple. The form is attached at the bottom of the page if you wish to print the form before you visit the library. We will then issue you with a temporary library card and you can begin using your card straight away. Your permanent library card will then be printed at the Health Library and you will be informed when it is ready to pick up here at the LERC. Once you have your library card this is the only library card you will need for both the Health Library at Royal Stoke and here at the Library Education and Resource Centre. If you are based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, work between sites, or live closer to Royal Stoke University Hospital then please be aware your card is accepted at both libraries and you are welcome to visit, borrow from, and work in either library.

How many books can I borrow?

You can borrow up to 20 items from the library for up to 4 weeks. Use 'library search' to check your library account. Your books will renew automatically. If an item is requested by another user you will be notified by email before the date items are due. There will be a fine of £1 per item per day for any requested items not returned. Sign into your library account to request books from either the Health Library at the Royal Stoke site or at the LERC to pick up from either site.
